Anyone know an alternative to reporter (which is pretty limited), that can process the .csv files?

thanks

I'm working on a homegrown solution using MySQL and Crystal Reports. New stuff for me so it's taking a long time. What kind of reports do you want?

Geoff,

The RMON portion of Sniffer can feed Concorde information. If you or your company or customer have Concord each Distrubuted Sniffer can be setup as a reporting element.

The instructions for doing so are in the Sniffer Docs.

From what I recall you can get some real good per DLCI usage reports.

Just a thought.

We use Excel to play with all the numbers. Reporter usually limits you to who you can sort through for the most part. It takes some getting used to and if you have more than 64,000 lines Excel won't open the whole thing, but there's ways around that.

Sniffer Technologies now makes a product called nPO Visualizer. It will do long term reporting on all of your DSPRO Appliances. It is much richer in features than reporter and offers flexibility as it is an open architecture using SQL and Crystal. So you can also right your own custom reports.

You can also turn on the RMON feature on the DSPRO and upload to Concord as mentioned, also to Vital Suite and other rmon tools. Since the DSPRO RMON is fully compliant it can actually be used with any RMON reporting tool even Netscout manager.

I would be intersted in hearing which reports you have created as well, if you are willing to share.
Thanks,
