Are there any alternatives to Roxio's DirectCD (preferably free)? I have Windows XP Home Edition(, but this forum seemed the most likely candidate).

XP itself has support for burning to CD. Of course that bit was written by Roxio.

I don't know of anything that is free, but I have used the Nero software and liked it.

I'm currently using HP In-CD but this came with my burner.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark

Yeah, I know about the built-in writing support, although I don't think it does DirectCD-esque writing. Maybe I'll just invest in the Nero software.

Thanks for your help,
Alex
