Alternative time dimension

Hello,
I'm new to analysis service and i'm strungling to create a alternative time dimension:

I have a regular time dimension with year > month > date.

but i want to create a alternative time dimension that only exist of 1 level an gives the current month and same mont last year, for ex:

Last Year Current Year Difference
product 1 90 100 10
product 2 120 90 -30
...

Is this possible to create a dimension like this, or is this only possible by creating measures?

Why not create these as calculated members within your current time dimension?
