alternating photos

Is there a way to have a picture alternate with another photo? Like it fades out and then another one appears?
This is the site that I created, and I want the pictures to change, because I have alot of them.

you could create a small flash file and insert that with whatever effects you want.

Or put an animated gif in it's place also.
