We are in the process of changing out dot matrix printer out with an HP Laserjet 4000t printer to print our invoices on. We have had a bit of modifications done to our SBT program (ages ago).

The invoices print fine EXCEPT for the total rolls over to the 2nd page, due to a margin issue I assume. It's around 0.5" where the text cuts off, however I have no problems printing on the printer to a 0.25" margin with other programs.

If someone could provide assistance in how to "ignore" this margin or adjust it internally within SBT, I would appreciate it.

We are using a DOS based SBT, I can get the actual version tomorrow in the office. I was just mainly looking for any common suggestion to fix this.

Or possibly information on how to modify the output invoice file?

Help is appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like you are using Vision Point which runs in FoxPro 2.6. In fact that version may actually be Foxbase. Many of those reports were hard coded. Do you see anything with an FRX extention?

foxpro 2.6 had both dos and windows version.

A problem could be that dot matrix has unprintable region at edges which the dot matrix did not. What is the length of your printed area on the invoice?

Jjac69,

Let me suggest you this: redesign the invoice form. Do not waste more time trying to reuse the DOS form.

Start from zero, do not use the DOS Invoice form as initial platform. Make sure active printer driver must be the laser printer you want to print on, so you can see printer features when designing.

I have experienced problems like yours and I have solved them rewriting the form.
