Alteon 5114 Join Command

hello,
I have two alteon 5114 nortel in cluster mode with a Pc with CheckPoint. One of them lost the System Operating. I have reinstalled the linux but now I need to configure it. The join command will let the alteon in the same way it was before??

yes.. if you take join the new server will be a part of the cluster.

I have a checkpoint in windows 2000 with two alteon 5114 nortel in cluster mode. I had to change one alteon so i installed the linux in the new alteon and i used the join command to put both in cluster again.
I see the configuration is ok (ports and interfaces) in the new alteon but i cant make "ping" to the interfaces of the new one.
It looks like the interface are down...
