Respected experts,

I am rebooting from altinst_rootvg then run smitty alt_clone to my old_rootvg (troubled OS) with update to different tl. Should I run following command first

reducevg -d -f old_rootvg hdisk#

then do the cloning or it will erase automatically?

Any suggestion?

Thanks-NewB

if you don;t need old_rootvg anymore you can remove it.

exportvg old_rootvg
or
alt_disk_install -X old_rootvg

should do it.

alt_disk_install -X old_rootvg was good. Thanks
