I've written a beautiful page in basic html - you know, tables and gifs etc. It looks great in IE 5, but in Netscrape 5 there's NOTHING at all, other than the background colour, and in Nutscrape 6 it looks as if it's about to load up the gifs, then just displays the text that's supposed to be an alt tag.

I though NS6 was gonna make my life easier but I just want to cry. Please, someone convince me otherwise! I promise I've closed all tags!

I had this exact problem in NN6 when the img url
was not corrected.
Ie5 showed it differently but wrongly as well.
It's a good idea to post the cide/url.

In NN4 the most common cause of nothing showing is a table tag not closed - check and check again. And if the text in the alt tag is showing it could mean an open quotation mark?

1. you have the page+images in the net,
you can check and validate the page using the following
url:
In teh second url, you can upload files from your hard disk, to check, but I don't know what's with the picture files. so it's best to upload all as a part of a site.

2.Did you check it in nn4+?

The link is:

There was a missing <table> tag, which I have corrected, though this appears to have done little in NS.

I took your advice, avivit, and submitted my page to websitegarage, which was extremely useful. It hasn't, however, helped me with NS. 'Leftmargin' and 'topmargin' have never normally prevented a whole page from not being displayed in NS.

Also, I'd be interested to know if I've written the correct code for the Flash insert.

I do not understand. Is it solved or not?
I checked your link now in NS6 and NS4+ and the pictures look great So was it the table tag or are u still having probelms?
Clear the cache before u type the url of your page.

As for flash. I have no idea.

Hmmmmm, very strange. Even when I clear my cache I still can't see it in NS. One of those oddities that will sort itself out when I least expect it, I guess.

If you can see it, Avivit, then that's all well and good and I'm a happy man.

Thank you very much for your time, I appreciate it.

Sure, any time.
I see it all great.
1. Maybe you should check if you see images at all in ns6?
Try another site just to see that it's not something in the ns6 properties (not that I'm too familiar with these).

2. Clear it all:
cache memory, disk cache, history and location bar.

Good luck...

Had problems with trying to see newly updated pages even after clearing cache, history, temp files ... the works. Contacted my ISP and the problem turned out to be the proxy server - setting up my browsers not to use it fixed the problem straight away - and now I can see what has just been uploaded without waiting for them to clear their caches.

From your posts suspect you will know how to set to work without a proxy - if not post, and I'll try to explain.
