Seems we just upgraded to version 6.5.24 and some of our sites are having problems taking a break. The unpaid break button is blank and does nothing once it is clicked. Has anyone else experiened this and if so what corrected it, thanks.
Try going to the break tab under the job code and toggling to another selection and closing BOH manager. Then re-open BOH manager and toggle the setting back to the one you want. Then refresh the system.
We are using 6.5.24 and not having the break problem but we are having a lot of little other problems.
1)Credit card Swipes putting partial numbers in the tip line,
2)quick combos not working right anymore
3)irritating warning about keyboard wedges (keyboard wedges have not yet been made PCI non-compliant but radiant wants to bug you about them)
4)Much longer reboot times much longer time to read trans log
5)sometimes terminals fail to complete the loading of aloha and end up back on the windows screen
6)Intermittent freezing of screen for a few second while entering tips and some terminals have a nasty habit of needing to have the 1st digit of the tip amount hit twice (makes for easy tip errors)
7)same terminals new software... credit card swipe errors had always been very low probably less than 1 in 100; now credit card mis-swipes are probably running 5-10 in 100
I will probably have to upgrade hardware that ran fine on 5.3.31
It appears that we are getting what quickbooks and windows users have dealt with for years. Install the new version and you are the beta testers and not getting a proven trouble free system. Unfortunately there are fewer of us to complain loud enough to get the bugs fixed quickly. Will their be a 6.5.85 that runs better, will 7.xx fix everything????
I think I'm going to put this in another thread for comments
