As many of you are aware aloha 6.7 is not going to be compliant much longer with that in order to go to 12.3 terminals either need to be upgraded to just get the software running or replaced if you are running any addons like aloha takeout software. The company that I work for being a bit bigger we have 25 units with an average of 3 terminals per store some 4 to 5. We are planning on both upgrading and replacing some with the goal to have all units replaced in 18 months to be able to run version 15. What our biggest hangup is the cost of the ncr terminals I have sourced a terminal for almost half the price of ncr hardware with a much better warranty then what ncr offers. Now here lies my problem we currently use RAL and it works almost flawlessly I know it will only run on ncr terminals. Does anyone else have a similar solution or am I back to using terminstall again. Thank you for taking the time to read this I know it is long.

The new RAL is supposed to be non hardware specific. So you may be in luck. I have not tried yet, But I do have the new RAL if you want to give it a test. Warning. dont do it on live machine. Do in a lab so you dont screw up current RAL

Alohaross if you could that would be great I would love to give it a try I will let you know how it works after I try it.

On NCR's dealer nly website, they only offer 2.3.2.18. I have other version 14.7.28
you will have to email me for link to download.
Here is some documentation I have on it.

I'm using the latest version of RAL 16.6.2 and POS 15.1.8.8 in our lab with a Touch Dynamic Saturn server and Touch Dynamic Acrobat Terminal. No compatibility issues, been through several version updates. Not saying there haven't been a lot of problems with POS 15.1 and RAL 16 , but they were all software based, as long as you run the 15.1 Pre-reqs from Radiant Update you should be fine.
If using RAL 15.1.15 and POS 12.3.xx, just set the IP on the terminal first if it's not NCR/Radiant hardware. It's supposed to use UDP not TCP, but for some reason this helps on 3rd party hardware.
