aloha server data recovery 1

I need help,our back of the house the server got completely collapsed,so we are unable to retrieve data like labor hours,sales and so ,then the dealers could not recover the damaged hard drive,so we got new server and our data still not recovered ,is there any way to recover the data from FOH.

no, the FOH will only process EOD and store dated sales if it's not connected to the server and in redundancy.

Ok thanks Mr,coorsman but can the retail store keep his hard drive and recover it by submet it to data recovery company or this could violate security compliance,also which state you work at.

The drive would have to be sent to a hd repair company to recover any lost data. Aloha prints out sales and server sales are printed w each server cash out. If all of these reports were kept at least 5 years then the data on the drive is not crucial other than it being easily accessed for reporting. As far as compliance with credit cards, depending on the version of aloha track data is encrypted and can not be read. Always backup, I got a 1TB backup drive for 100 that's great insurance.

Have you checked the terminals to make sure that there isn't a backup there? I'm 99% sure Aloha copies the history to a backup terminal... I would look on the hard drive on each and see if you can find some history.

Aloha does not keep historical data on the terminals. Only if the the terminal is in redundancy. Backup to a terminal makes great sense however most Aloha systems are sold these days with Radiant terminals the only have 1G of drive space.

Thanks every one for great answers and support,but other issue I have is when we install the new replacement server has win 7 and the foh is winxp,now sometimes one of the foh terminal keep show DOB different than sync date,like for example one terminal was master and the power plug disconnect by mistake then one term came as master but the it was master has DOB different than sync date and all other term are ok.now the DOB keep change between term.
