Cannot print to kitchen printer (Epson TM-U200)

I have verified the cabling, adapters, and jumper settings. I have checked the DEBOUT logs on the server and found this:

Jan 02, 15:16:50 [2028] Printer 32 OK
Jan 02, 15:18:00 [2028] Printer 32 error status A0
Jan 02, 15:18:41 [2028] Printer 32 OK

Does anyone know what the error message means?

Also, the printer is not re-reouted nor does it have a backup printer setup for it in Aloha Manager. The printer also is not listed as offline or not communicating when you sign into Aloha.

Is the right printer assigned to the correct printer group?

While I am not familiar with the error message in the debout, I would start by disconnecting the printer by unplugging it the network cable--if you DO NOT get an error message, then you definitely have a software configuration issue (i.e. Aloha is not looking for/monitoring this printer). Some other things you may or may not have tried:

1) Configure the printer to run off another com port on either the same computer, or better yet, another computer entirely.

2) Check, double check, then triple check the following.
a) That the is assigned to a terminal, a com port, and running off a terminal that is currently online and functioning.
b) That the printer is in the correct group. (check it again).
c) That the printer is set up as the proper model--you also might try setting it up as TM-300.
d) No matter how sure you are that the cabling and adapters are good, eliminate them from the equation by using a local printer cable (i.e. no adapters, no rj-45 or cat5 cable, etc).
e) Try hooking up another printer that you are absolutely certain works. Even if it's a different printer, give it a shot.

I have had enough experience to tell you that most problems are routine, but every now and again, they can get a little tricky. In these situations, I normally find that I've over looked something silly, or that I've confused myself by rushing and not accurately monitoring the results (i.e. sloppy thinking). It sounds like you've already done a pretty good of checking things, but assume nothing is good--every component is suspect.

After you've tried the above, post the results. I can just about guarantee that we can help you fix this--the guys on here know what they're talking about.

This is a known good printer.(I have also tried a few others, all have same result)

When the printer is physically disconnected, Aloha reports it as offline when you log in. When reconnected the message does not appear.

It was originally setup up on a Dell P4 3Ghz, with a Lava Systems 8 port PCI RS-232 card. We reset the printers to other ports, even the onboard one. Each time I went and verified the com port setting (FIFO off, 9600, etc) Refreshed the data after every change.

We then got a hold of a terminal from Radiant Systems, a P1500. It has 8 serial ports built into it. And you need to use a special RJ12 to RJ45 adapter to connect to the printer. I have several of those from the dealer, along with the other end, which is RJ45 to DB25.

I have been able to print from the command prompt consistently (at CMD prompt: dir>COM2: )

I have even open the dbf files for the printers and everything looks correct. Printer groups match printers and items are bond to correct groups.

And another note: I have working printers on the same system. And if a non working printer is re-routed it will print to a working printer.

I am going to meet with some "Aloha Techs" today to get some answers. I will post what I find out. Thank you all for your suggestions.
