Hi All,
I am simplifying the question but say for example you sell two sizes of Coors beer 12oz and 16oz.
I would like to monitor the total ounces of Coors beer that is sold.
Do I create one item called Coors Beer and create a modifier group with the two sizes (12 and 16oz) in it?

If so is there a way to view the individual ounces sold for each beer in the Pmix report?

When I create the beer sizes modifier group, if I assign it to Coors as well as Budweiser beer, the only thing I see in the pmix is how many 12 ounce beers sold, it doesn't differentiate between Coors or Budweiser.

Can anyone recommend a better way to structure it to accomplish my goal?

Thanks in advance,
Ammer

I believe the easiest way to achieve what you are looking for would be to have 2 separate buttons, one for 12oz and one for 16oz. Then you would just need to add them together from the PMIX report. You are correct in saying if you create a modifier group with sizes and you attach it to both Bud and Coors Lt then there would be no way to differentiate between the two. That is why it is just easier to have 2 different items, one for each size.

Thanks for the response. That is what I was afraid of. We offer a taster, a sample, a 16oz and a 32ounce for each of our beers. That means in order to track the ounces poured for shrinkage purposes, I need to multiply the size of the beer items by 4. We serve craft beers and we get new beers every other week. Any time I add a beer I need to add it 4 different places. I was hoping for a more efficient solution!
Thanks again.

Yeah. I actually have helped roll out a couple beer bars and that is the way we set everything up. It also helped them know which beers people were sampling but not purchasing. This helped them rotate through things a little quicker.
