Okay Fellow POS Buffs,
I've got weird Aloha POS problem. I have a single Aloha Terminal (P1220-0153) that will at random times (usually a weekend at 10:00PM +) will reboot itself. It will work for a couple minutes and then will repeat this process until I log in remotely and refresh the data. It then runs fine for about 24 hours. The event logs are pretty clean - there is an MSMQ error and a MSDTC error, but those appear that have been occurring prior to this issue. I did see a couple messages about Brower elections for Windows; would this be a possible cause? There is no error message that I can find that points to a possible solution. As luck would have it, this is the Master terminal (YAY!), none of the other terminals appear to have any issues. So does anyone have any recommendations? I have two P1220-0153 terminals, so I was thinking that maybe I could swap the hard drives between the two and see if the issue follows the hardware or the OS? Is the MAC hard coded in any way? Is this ill-advised? Sadly, this Aloha system was purchased used, so no hope of calling an Aloha rep/support.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you,
Ben
