ALCON,

Background:
Installed a fresh copy of aloha(e.g. term1) with all the correct HASP and SEC keys. It runs independently just fine
with no problems as standalone. OS is XP

Tried to do a term install the on other station(e.g. term2). End up copying files from the alohaboh to terminal.
OS is windows2000

I have lic. for 2 terms and previously was able to run both terminals just fine, prior to Term1's hardware failure.

Question:
I am able to login/clock in on both terminals but term2 does not reflect any information which is display on term1.

For example if I clock in on TERM1, term2 does not reflect and I have clock in again. If I place an order on TERM1, TERM2 does not reflect that transaction.

I have checked my environmental variables and everything appears correct. I checked the lana number Netbeui is set for 0.

Computers are named correctly and on TERM1 the c:\ is shared as boot drv.

If anyone has any insights, thanks in advance.

After checking, it does not have a red border.

ALCON,
Just to double check what should be the environmental variables be set for both TERM1 and TERM2?

Where TERM1 is on alohaboh and TERM2 is terminal install

Version 4.5 didn't have a red border in redundancy.

Check the screen on term2 - does it have fileserver=term2

If you don't have a BOH - and have the Aloha installed on term1 then did you do a fileserver recovery?

Was this new term1's OS - reinstalled or repaired? if so, did you turn on simple file sharing.

Test - read write -
open a new text document on term2 from term1 - save.
open a new text document on term1 from term2 - save.

Coorsman,
I have boh/fileserver installed on TERM1. I also did a clean OS install on TERM2. To enable simple filesharing on XP?

Sorry I ment to sat turn off simple file sharing.

Open explorer - click on Tools - Folder Options - View - Scroll down and uncheck Simple File Sharing.

that means term1 is a combo server/terminal. When you ran the terminal install you pointed to term1 as the server right? not alohaboh?
