Hello Everyone!
I need some serious help here.
We just bought a new printer to replace our Citizen CBM-1000II, which was not working properly.
We got a Citizen CT-S310II.
The new printer has both paralel and usb interface. Since the last one was connected to COM1, that's where I connected the new one.
Unfortunately, all the printer prints (continuously) is "vvvvvvvvvvvvvvv"
Granted that I am not an Aloha expert, but I have tried everything I can think of. HELP, experts!!
On the Aloha Manager, the printer is listed as type "Epson TM-80", which is how the old one was set up.
I am running Aloha Table Service 6.5.25, and the printer is connected to my Term2

Any help will be greately appreciated!
I tried to find some info in this forum and in the web, and I have not been successful.

Thank you again,

Juan

Hello Juan!

If you are on com port(serial), there are necessary settings for it such as 9600 baud rate, 8 data bit, Even Parity, 1 Stop bit, Xon/Xoff. Set this both on the printer and com port of your terminal. Set as type Epson TM-80 on Aloha Manager.

This works on Epson, Samsung, Posiflex, Radiant but haven't tried on Citizen brand.

You also have to set the printer for Epson emulation in addition to the above settings.

Thank you guys for your responses and your time.
I am almost sure I did all those things and still wasn't working properly, but I will double check as soon as I get to the place.

Thanks again,

Juan

check to see if there's any dip switch on the new citizen printer

u might need to open some mental cover to see it.

if you found it, change them according, or the same as the old one.

Thank you all very much
Doing what alohapier said does the trick.
