Hello,

I have some locations running Aloha version 6.5.16 and a few on 6.5.17. I have had several instances at different units where Aloha will not accept a new password entered in the back office after a manager is prompted to do so. It just gives the error message that the password does not meet the requirements even though it does. The local Aloha reseller has experienced it but did not have an answer for me. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any solutions?

I appreciate any input. Thanks.

If your dealer is experiencing the problem but has no answer it is most likely a bug and you should either be upgraded or down graded.

This is a bug for sure. We have the same version and have had the same problem at all stores with that version.

As long as you have one master user available you need to delete and recreate the user that needs the password reset.

You can clear the HPB_RTRD field in the HPB.DBF file for the affected employees on the BOH and refresh. This will clear the last password set date. This should allow you to move forward.

In 6.5.17, an update was made to show the correct error message during password update, but other than that, we have over 542 sites that never have seen the issue, and we enforce strong password measures.
