I have to call up different restaurants to figure out their Aloha Manager and Terminal versions by talking to a manager on-site. I have worked with Micros and POSitouch but am new to Aloha. In all my searching I have not found any version of Aloha Manager that is even close to 14. I think the specs that were given to me to verify are not accurate. I have to determine:

Aloha terminal 6.7.38 and above
Aloha manager 14.6.0.10112 and above
Microsoft .Net framework 4.0

Just to confirm, version history is found under "Help" in the Aloha Manager. Is terminal information there as well?

Thanks.

Aloha terminal is the actual POS version and aloha manager is the software. if it is 14.x it is most likely using the new aloha manager/CFC

Thank you for your responses!

If I call the managers up and ask them to check help in the Aloha Manager I can get the version number but how can I get them to look up the versions of the terminals?

There have been two occasions where I have opened Aloha Manager and gone to Help > About to view the version but only the terminal version displays. Is Aloha Manager version information located elsewhere?

The version numbers in Aloha Manager that came up at the two location were:

6.4.2.7
6.7.5.0

Is there a way to determine the Aloha Manager version by the Terminal version?

Thanks.

You can go into the bin folder and right click the alohamanager exe and go to the version that way. The bin should be shared across all your terms so the term version should be the same as aloha mgr. If you have CFC/New ALoha mgr you can have different version numbers.

Aloha Manager does not run on the front of house. Iber.exe does.
As part of Aloha when it starts it compares its bin folder to the back of house If the FOH has different files it will copy the new ones from the BOH. It never copies to the BOH only from. Following Kantors advice is the same as going to Help About aloha manager that you have already done

If you are using NAM it will be an orange AM icon. If not you are not on NAM. To check the version log into the Aloha Manager. in the top right where it says "Info" there is a drop down. Click "About" and it will tell you what POS version you are on as well as what version of Aloha Manager you are using. Thanks!
