1. we have aloha manager table service v5.3.25
2. we have a terminal and printer in our office (terminal #5)
3. we want to have a check print on that printer every time a drink is ordered.

is this a print group function?

What is the receipt printer number attached to that terminal? Look in Terminal Maintenance and you will see. Once you have that printer ID go to printer groups, find your bar group and add it to it.

we only got food and bottle service orders....

what about...

i want the item names, price, servers name and terminal number on the receipt.

we tried 'chit' printing, but we only received bottle service and food orders.

under order mode maintenance, does it make since to select printer #8 and send all made items to that printer? or will that disrupt our other printing?

our goal is to see orders in real time.

any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Go to Maintenance->Menu->Items in Aloha Manager and make sure that those items not printing is setup to print to a printer group; you'll see a print button on the right, make sure it isn't set to None(0) and scroll through all your items with the down arrow.

Ok...

Step 1 >
Go to Maintenance/Hardware/Printers. Locate the printer that's driven by the terminal #5 (the field for terminal is directly beneath "name"). Go to the options tab while on that printer. In chit printing, check "print item prices." I don't remember about version 5 but in the later versions, and in that same area, you can check "Print Terminal Name." Save it.

Step 2>
Go to Maintenance/Hardware/Printer Groups. Find the group that sends items to your service bar. If you don't know this printer group, you can navigate to Maintenance/Menu/Items and locate a bar item that currently prints there. On the right column, towards the bottom, you'll see a box that says "Print." The name in the field there is the printer group you are looking for.

When you get to that printer group, you'll see some empty fields. Click on the arrow to the right of the field. This will open a list of printers. Locate the printer from step 1. Do not remove the original printer. Just add the new printer so that you have 2 printers in this printer group. Save it.

Step 3>
Go to Utilities/Functions/Refresh Data. You will now have the items print at both places in real time. In the office, you will have the server name, item price, and (if available in 5) the terminal name.
