Aloha Installation

I wanted to see if any of you Aloha guys can tell me if it is difficult to install Aloha. Also, is there a way to become Aloha certified? I work for an IT company but we primarily work with businesses such as CPA's, Attorneys, Doctors, etc. We have never done a POS installation for a restaurant before and wanted to know what we were getting into if we accept this job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If by install you mean connection of networed computers, aloha is not much different than typical office computers but if you mean programming for a restaurant and or bar you couldn't get it done without a very indepth knowledge of Aloha database programming. There are hundreds of settings each one affecting another. Any reason you are looking at Aloha for a pos.

Check out this link for a build it yourself/ install yourself POS system. I used it for over 10 years w/o any of the problems I experience with aloha.

Actually after speaking with the company we are receiving work from they told us that we will not be installing aloha or squirrel but what they want us to do is change credit card processing companies from within both programs. So basically I need to know how difficult it is to go into these systems and change the credit card processing. Coorsman if you are up for training our company would be willing to pay. Also, if you could provide support remotely while we are onsite we would pay for that as well.
