I'm attempting to use the processor CES. My merchant services is through Priority Payment Systems. I've been trying to setup the gateway access using provided DID. I get invalid DID at each attempt. Datawire claims the issue is with the merchant ID I am using. I was provided 2 ID's one for North and one for Omaha. The Omaha ID is the only one accepted as a valid ID. However, datawire wont process to the Omaha ID. When I use the North ID it is 3 digits smaller and will fail due to inv mer id. Is there a different processor to use for North Merchant ID numbers?

Aside from that I wished to process cards through dial-up in the mean time, but that isnt working for me either. It appears to connect and then disconnect.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If you are on 6.7.20, you most likely still have support, call them and utilize it.

Well I tried support and they are asking me to pay for that support specificly. 350 for credit card set-up. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. I'm getting a new VAR sheet to try again... sad day.

First, with the array of changes in credit card processing your setup may have changed and a $350 payment to your dealer is not too out of line although it should only take about 15 minutes for them to do this via remote. In the future if you change processors get them to offer to pay for your business by paying any setup charges

the person who finally got me fixed up was

Account Boarding & Implementation Specialist - Boarding Operational Services

This was after a call from the Chief Operations Officer to me asking why we were not using our account

I would imagine your processor is First Data but I may be wrong

Call your processor and tell them you need to be setup on the Cardnet Platform (that is CES FirstData North)

You also need to make sure they provision your account on Datawire

Everything needed for EDC setup for Aloha versions 5.2.5.x thru at least 6.5.22 (and probably higher) to use Internet as primary communication on FDMS North, Cardnet, First Data North platforms

CES is the Aloha EDC template used for those platforms

CES platform parameters needed in EDC

MID Merchant ID
TID Terminal ID (six digits it would seem)

info provisioned from Datawire this is in the Datawire Section TCP/IP tab

DID (Datawire ID)
CC TID same as TID above
DatawireServiceName (like north.fdc)

more parameters for datawire location in EDC varies
These values will be provided by Datawire usually through your processor but sometimes directly

PrimaryIPAddress
PrimaryPortNumber
SecondaryIPAddress
SecondayPortNumber

USING DATAWIRE

In some earlier versions of Edc you select to Use Datawire and configure under EDC,options in some versions this is under EDC,Gateway on some other platforms this is in the Processor area

(since many power user passwords still do not have access to "Options" and "Gateway" you can accomplish the same goal by making the following section in the EDC.ini file

substitute the appropriate info from datawire after =

[DATAWIRE]
UseIPN=TRUE
PrimaryIPAddress=vxn.datawire.net
PrimaryPortNumber=19000
SecondaryIPAddress=vxn1.datawire.net
SecondayPortNumber=19000

If you have been using something like Visanet and switch to Cardnet via Datawire be aware that when you settle the batch it will take a few minutes (where with Visanet it took a few seconds)

I am happy with First Data via CES/Datawire vs what was a SSL Visanet settlement because some of the odd problems I was seeing with SSL authorizations being kicked back and rolling over to dialup have disappeared.

Welp, still no luck. The issue seems to be using the correct MID, I was given two. One is for North (the correct one) and one is Omaha (longer by 3 digits and Datawire says it is not usable for IPN). I place the correct MID (north) in the CES processor but it wont process claiming invalid merchant ID. When I use the Omaha ID (supposed to be the wrong one) the fail reason becomes the datawire ID number.

I think the reason the North MID is the correct one is because its associated with the Datawire account and it is North, which is the front end processor. I have tried adding 0's to the front and back of the North MID to make it long enough and I get the invalid Datawire ID fail again. So I am wondering if edc is restricting the North MID because it isn't long enough. Any reason it would do that?

I talked to my aloha support and they claim everything is right and it is our credit processor's fault. To avoid paying me back the 350 to get it working, we conference called and both sides claim neither is the issue.

So we have gone through 2 var sheets and multiple support staff with no luck. I'm wondering what options I have left besides changing POS or CC processor. I like both quite a bit.

I would opt for a new POS system something more up to date. :)

Cheers,
Coorsman

It looks to me like your Datawire TID isn't set right.
[Sometimes processors will see this as a "MID", or throw a similar error because they go hand in hand.]
99999 is definitely not valid.
Ask your processor for the Datawire TID.
and put that number into your edc.ini
