Hi, I have a slight problem with the Date of Business right now.

A few days ago I accidently changed the DATE on our BOH computer to 5/25/12. It wouldnt run EOD that night (since the dates were different), I corrected it by changing the DOB under System Settings to the correct date (3/31/12). That at least got us up and running for the day. 2 days later I noticed it still says 3/31 for DOB, although the System date is correct. We've been forcing EODs each night, but the date doesnt change the next day, its still stuck on 3/31 and all the sales for 3/31 thru yesterday are accumulated, also Employee clock outs are printing 3/31-4/3 on one slip (like it would be for the same shift/day). I manually changed the DOB this morning (4/4)so the Sales total wouldnt keep carrying over... we can deal with 2 or 3 days combined, but any more than that is trouble!!

Any help would be much appreicated. I think this would be an easy fix but im stuck on what to do next... our local Aloha guys charge about $150 per 10 mins, and I cost my boss much less than that! :p

Thanks, Alanna

Also, just checked the DOB in aloha.ini, it says 5/24/2010, which is the date our business opened?? Im looking at where it says Date of Business: DOB right at the top when you open Aloha.ini

Check both Aloha.ini files under Data and Newdata for the correct business date.

example
;Date of Business
DOB=03 31 2012

are there dated folders created after you forced run the eod process?

I found the NEWDATA folder, but cannot find the regular DATA folder.

When I accidently changed the date the first time, new folders were created all the way up to May 2012, so they are already there. New data is added into the corresponding day though after each EOD.

are the dated folders until may 2012 still inside the Aloha folder? You need to remove those dated folders to have a successful eod process every night.

is there any error when you force the eod process at night?

Thank PinoyTech!! I will try that in the morning, sounds like that may be whats causing it.

No error when doing EOD, just date and sales carrying over.. I appreicate all the help so far VERY much! This is by far the best resource ive found for Aloha online.

Removing the pre-dated folders worked! Came into the shop this morning and it had auto-corrected to the right date, with all 0 balances for the beginning of the day.

Cant say how thankful I am for your help!
