Hello,

Using Aloha 6.5. I know how to get chits to print in addition to the guest checks that we print out for every order. I am running into a problem in that we need to have the tent #'s print on the chits for our front counter orders but we dont use tent #'s for our drive thru orders, those just go through a sequence of 1 to 99. If I set everything up to print the chits, the problem i have is that the DT orders then start asking for us to enter a tent #. Is there any way around this? I would like for it just to use the DT order #. I tried a few of the options that were present such as forcing the tent # but that uses the same number list throughout the whole unit, not by the terminal. Any ideas? Id appreciate any help. Thank you.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? The reseller hasn't gotten back to me yet. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on it. Thanks for any help.

It's global. All or nothing.

Table tents were one of the additions to the POS years ago that we needed for Aloha to be used in our concept.

Thanks for the info. So there is no way to have it automatically populate the tent # off of the order # assigned by the DT terminals? I know that we can leave the tent #'s off, so would it be best to try just going by the order #'s?

I was able to get things working the way that I want them to. I went the opposite direction and just unchecked the option for the table tent #'s under store settings for chit printing. That itself made the DT # start showing on the chits. For the front counter I just had to change the button setup to name the order first and then choose the order type. That makes the name or tent # entered show on the chit as well so as of right now all is good. Now I just have to figure out how to make the date and time info smaller than the items showing on the chit. Thanks for the responses.

Gotcha. Nice solution. Since our concept doesn't have a drive-through, we are basically a QS concept with a mixture of table service. We have one stack of table tents 01-99, and all cashiers grab from this one stack. We can then look in the dining room, and our pickup windows and visually tell order times, as well as the dining room attendant knowing where to deliver the food.
