Aloha Bar Tabs no longer available

I have Aloha version 5.3.44e running on a Win 2K server and about 15 terminals w/ Win 98.

We used to have the ability to create/keep (bar) tabs on our terminals; now we no longer have them. Let me start w/ something that happend first as it maybe a reason the terminals no longer have bar tabs. Some time ago we had a power outage/brown-out and one of the terminals became the "Master" terminal and was collecting all the transaction data (which is part of a redundancy plan I'm told). I remembered a little from the previous Aloha tech-support call and one of the steps was to copy all the dated sub-folders from the terminal to the Aloha directory and then manualy run the grind program for each dated subfolder. This worked and good news is that POSs take payments, etc. The problem now is the bar staff complain that they no longer can keep/create bar tabs. Please help. Thanks.

This will be an issue with job codes more than likely. Make sure the bartender job code has bartender and sees tabs flagged.

Job codes are associated with each user in Aloha. Each user in Aloha can have multiple job codes and access levels. When you clock in on the terminals, it will ask you to select your job code when you clock in, such as bartender, server, , cashier, manager, etc. They determine what options a user has on the terminal. The options for job codes in Aloha Manager are under Maintenance>Labor>Job codes.
