Aloha - Assign ONLY one Cash Drawer?

Greetings,

I am trying to setup an employee to have access to one - and only one - of the cash drawers in our Aloha POS System. I can assign managers to cash drawers, but not any of our servers. How do I assign one to a server?

If your using version 6.2, make sure the "Cash Drawer" option of your 'Server' job code is checked.

And the employee needs to clock-in first before they can be assigned to the drawer.

Thanks, it did work - however, to do so, the server has to go through a number of buttons through the functions menu. Is there a way to add an 'open drawer' button to his/her opening screen, as the managers are able to?

If you are using QuickService, you can make a chain or create a button to call that drawer function(open drawer, manage drawer, etc) and use as your opening screen, however if you are on TableService, you may need to do it on Function>Financials.

You may also try checking the "Self Assign Drawer" if you are on QS.

Make sure you have No Sale set for server jobcode
