Ok so manager called this morning and said she couldn't access reports. Logged in and date for yesterday in reports menu says 00/14/0000!!!! Dated folder is correct and DOB in aloha.ini is correct. I regrinded but its still showing up 00/14/0000. Where do the reports pull this DOB from? How can I fix this issue.

Look in your aloha directory where the dated subs are loacted. Check for a mis-named file or directory. They all should start with yyyymmdd.

Everything looks normal. We did have an issue where the end of the day did not run for several days and my boss attempted to fix it over the weekend unbeknownst to me which it appeared he did but there is a 20120213 and a 20120213backup where it looks as if he was going to attempt to merge a double EOD he ran by mistake in the process of fixing the issue. Is this backup folder causing the issue?

Answered my own question. Moved the mislabeled folder out of the directory and now everything is back to normal. Still need to merge the two though....

1 make a backup of both trans.log files.

you can merge 2 log files - depending on the initial problem using copy command from dos.

rename the trans.log file in 20120213 folder to transPM.log

rename the trans.log file in 20120213backup folder to transam.log

copy the transAM.log file in 20120213backup to 20120213

you should now have transam.log and transpm.log file.

In dos
type in:

cd %iberdir%\20120213

copy /b TransAM.log + TransPM.log trans.log

..\grind /date 20120213

exit

if the grind didn't work there might be some corruption in the am trans.log file. That's another post.

this will copy daypart 1 with daypart 2 into trans.log
