I've got a client that is running Aloha 6.2 with three terminals. And recently I've found that the process Pollcheck.exe, which I believe is associated with the Radiant Heartbeat service, is using a LARGE amount of CPU cycles. Is this Pollcheck.exe necessary? Can I just disable the service? If not, does anyone have any recommendations on how to resolve the high CPU usage? They, of course, bought this used and have no warranty support (YAY!) and I am still a bit of a newb. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Ben

Disable radiant Heartbeat in the services. This service will allow support from a dealer. With 6.2 I can assume they don't have a contract for support. Also check the end of day batch file. ususlly called winhook.bat or eod.bat. Look in the bin folder for .bat files. The previous owner may have used Pollcheck at one time but not anymore. No need to FTP files to unknown place.

Alohaross,

Thanks for your help. I did that and it seems to have resolved the issue. I really appreciate the help I get on this forum, sorry it took me so long to say thank you for your time and help.

Cheers,
Ben
