Hello Everyone, I am looking for an install disc for aloha 5.2 or 5.3

I am currently running 5.2 so it would be preferable.

Reason I am asking is one of the terminals had the hd die so I cloned the 98se harddrive of another.

Changed the ip, name and iber.cfg file.

However it keeps getting stuck with an error "could not open opos LineDisplay 'DSP' device (error code 109).

So I am going to reinstall win98 and aloha.

Thank you.

You won't need the install CD to reinstall Aloha on the terminal, you will just run the term setup program to reinstall. It copies everything from the server. The could not open line display error means the the terminal is attempting to initialize a Line Display using OPOS communication. You might not have one on this terminal or it is not setup in OPOS correctly. I would simply disable the Line Display for that terminal in Aloha Manager and run a refresh. It's located under Maintenance>Hardware>Terminals (choose the correct terminal)> Other tab and uncheck "Use Pole Display".

I forgot to mention I have unchecked the box and it still gives me the error.

Where would I find term install?

Also I would like a copy just incase, as the server is not running the best.

If its still getting that error, it sounds like your terminal (Computer name) is incorrect or your ibercfg.bat and/or autoexec.bat have the wrong "Set Term=". Or maybe if you unchecked this, it hasn't gotten updated to the terminals. I've never seen this error unless the terminal is set to load that particular device. I would double check and make sure the terminal is not attempting to load up as the terminal you cloned it from and that the refresh worked.

These are the CD's I have available

I have gone into the registry and changed the name from Term1 to Term2
I have changed ibercfg.bat "Set Term=1" to "Set Term=2"
I have changed the ip address manually just incase.
I have changed the mac address as the clone had a static mac applied.
autoexec has been checked to see if it has any hardcoded terminal names it does not.
I have forced an updated to aloha from the server by changing the date of files in Bin on Term2.

I have gone into the aloha manager on the BOH and unchecked the box I have even checked the box and changed the pole display to see if i get a different error. However it stays the same.

I would like to request alhoa 5.2.5.71.iso.

Thank you.

Ignore the last post I need 5.0.7.iso

The other person wrote down the wrong number I am actually running 5.0.45

Sorry about that.

Ok that will work, do you have any other hints or thoughts on what else may be causing the error?

I'd be curious to see the debout for the terminal. You could even open the TRM.dbf to see if there's anything in for the line display set. Does this terminal actually have a line (customer) display on it and is OPOS installed on it?

Ok I got it to work.

It was one of these that fixed it

1. shutdown the server and all terminals, waited 1 minute and turned on the server. Turned on terminal1 and terminal 3. turned on terminal2 and uninstalled opos.

2. reinstalled opos, and did not restart.

3. I tested the pole display by using hyperterminal and printed characters to the display.

4. I connected the network and deleted the aloha folder and copied the aloha folder from terminal1.

I restated and everything was working.

I did this yesterday but it seems to be working it has survived multiple restarts.

Sorry, got busy today. Did you still want that CD even though you got it working?
