Hi,
I am running Aloha 5.034 and recently one of our Kitchen Epson printer stopped working. We had the Epson U200B (using the Epson 300 option in the Back Office) and we received a Epson U220 (newer one) from someone. I set the Printer up and selected the Epson U200 in the Backoffice as the printer option.

I set the DSW1 to 3,5,6 on (rest off)
I set the DSW2 to all off

This setup (per previous posts on this forum) should work but I keep getting a Printer out of paper message in the terminals even though the printer has paper, cartridge and seems to be operating fine. The same message shows up whether the printer is connected to the cat5 jack or not.

Any ideas here?

TIA,
CJ

PosGuyUS - I have pressed the IP reset button but nothing happens from a printing perspective (i.e. printing the current IP address).

TobeThor - Most likely updating the system to a newer one as this is on its last legs.

if resetting the printer doesn't do anything, I would have to think the card is blown. I would suggest contacting your POS dealer or get another IP card.
Are you getting a different system or are you going to stay with Aloha?

I will check the card.

We are looking at all options - not necessarily staying with Aloha.

Cheekycj,

make sure DSW2 2 and 4 are on. If it is, hold the reset button down for 3 seconds and it should print the current ip settings on the network card.

From there, you can connect it to a local network and put your computer to the same ip scheme so you can pull up the printer in a web browser. From there you can change the IP address of the printer to the same network as your POS.

What kind of restaurant concept do you have? Knectech would love to show you an option for your pos solution.
