I’ve recently replaced an Aloha terminal running 4.2 on Windows 98. Everything seemed to go well until I noticed the new terminal can write to the main terminal, but not the other way around. If you add a table on the main terminal it does not show up on the new one.

Any ideas what I’m missing?

Thanks!

check the network permission. Make sure that both terminals can see each other and access each other.

Definitely sounds network related, does the new terminal and the existing main login to Windows using the same username and password?

Thank you both for the reply.

They can both see each other, but have different username/passwords.

Thanks Coorsman. Should they both have the same user/pass?

Every terminal should be logging in with the same username and password.
The default for your systems is probably username aloha password hello

Cheers,
Coorsman

So I made them the same user/password, but still no luck. I have them networked and can move files back and fourth, but for some reason the main can't write to term2.

The only thing that's funny is when I try to open the aloha folder on the main term from term2 it says the folder does not exist. I can access all other folders without issue.

What operating system is running on the BOH?

Cheers,
Coorsman
