We have just updated our system to NAM 12.3. When running labor reports it shows all of the employees in we have had in the reports. Is there a way to filter that to only show active employees?
Yes they are all flagged as terminated. Before we upgraded to 12.3 there was an option under preferences to show all employees, active or terminated. Now this option does not appear anywhere.
There really is no good answer to this question as you are referring to every single employee ever showing up in the list to select for labor reports etc. There is no way to get rid of them that I am aware of other than simply deleting them, uninstalling NAM and reinstalling and reimporting. Deleting them isn't exactly feasible as those records have time punches etc that they have worked and if you ever get audited then you would be out of luck. One thing you can maybe try is to move old dated subs out of the aloha folder into your main drive like d:\ and title it old dated subs. If you ever needed those records again you could simply just copy them back into the aloha folder to run reports and then remove them again. Although I am not sure this would work because all employee info resides in the emp.dbf which would show active and terminated employees. I have seen similar issues with CFC when stores data is used to create a new location and it shows other stores employees that never worked at this new store in the reporting selections because they weren't removed from the emp.dbf prior to import. It all depends on how you want to manage this. If you were to do anything about it though It would take some finesse and remembering what you did should you ever need to pull those old employees back up in reporting for whatever reason. I really don't think there is much of a way to solve this problem but I have theories it would just be very time consuming.
The only other advise I have is get on CFC. I know that it has the option to show all employees under the labor report, but by default only shows those that are not terminated.
