I have phones that have been setup for internal extensions only, unless you know the 4 digit access code. I now need to grant access to 1800 numbers without using the 4 digit code. I can't seem to get a handle on this. Listed below is the configuration of one of these phones:

What do I need to change to get this done. Thanks in advance for any help.

Cant you just allow this number in the ncos table or create a speed number and allow users access to that list.

I'm fairly new at this. How do I modify the ncos table?

To change the ncos table.
ld 49

ALOW...then allow your number.
be careful to specify the exact numbers you are allowing to dial.if you allow 0800 then all 0800 numbers are allowed.
i WOULD DO A PRINT FIRST TO CHECK WHAT IS SET NOW

not the best way to do that, go to ld 90 (you'll need a book), 1800 is either a spn or npa, in 86 create a new rlb, entr 0 needs to point to your local trunk group and have a frl of 0.. then in 90 make 1800 1888 1877 an spn that points to that rlb. frl is the "cost" of a call, ncos is the users account (funds allowed") ld 90 sends a 3+ digit code, in your case 1800, to a route list block, the rlb contains a route list index, with mult, enrties, each entry points to a route, and assigns a cost (frl) to the call. in nctl, (network control) ncos values are set to a standard ie frl 1 = ncos 1 frl= ncos 2.. they can be changed but almost always match. try to make these changes and repost with more detailed questions and i can talk you through it.

In your original thread you mentioned "have phones that have been setup for internal extensions only"
Do you mean you have sets that are aloud to ring this number already?
If so you will not have to alter the spn etc
and my information is correct.
If not you will have to set this up.
