Hey folks,

Is there any way to give a user in my AD rights to change his/her local DNS???

not sure if this is possible (for obvious reasons) but if they are logged into a machine with admin rights they can chnage the DNS settings at that point. what are you trying to do?

Why don't you just have them edit their own Host file? That is the first place that internet explorer will look for information.

Yeah... I thought about that... but we're talking programmers here!!! ;)

They need to change their DNS to be able to use the testing environment, and I don't want to have to give them administrative rights (for obvious reasons).

Thanks for the input folks. I'll just make a couple of scripts that will change their hosts file for them or something to that effect.
