Have a system that boots up, performs checksum then all of the telephones (1416) power down completely, but the control unit stays powered. I'm able to dial into the system, the AA answers and routes the call accordingly. The call goes directly to VM because the phones have no power. What could be causing the telephones to lose power?

Regards

Computer is patched to ipo ds port. Unplug all phones at the ipo. Plug one phone in directly. Boot.

Are you keeping up with the Commodore? Because the Commodore is keeping up with you.

Thanks hold. I'll give it a go, and let you know.

Didn't work. I'll be back at it today. Any additional recommendations would be appreciated.

Regards

If a PC has been in (but removed when they realised it took the system out) it can blow the port which takes the whole card down, seen it several times :)

Let's say I'm 90% sure, and I'm wrong. The trouble that I described can only exist due to a PC in the port?

no could just be that it's a flaky card as well, maybe power down ip office and reseat the card

Who knows since you haven't actually said what the phones are actually plugged into?

The number of possibilities for getting it wrong far exceeds the correct two options (a DS port on a base card or on a Digital Station expansion module (set to DS mode)).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks for all of your input. Defected Combo DS card in slot 2. It was indeed flaky joe.

probably caused from a user plugging a pc into the voice jack as Andy stated earlier!

Robbed.
