I have a Central Site and two primary sites. My Central Site has approx. 2753 objects and is named A01 and then my primary site called B01 has 2684 objects in it. Can you please help me understand what is happening here?

Does your central site have its own boundaries and clients?

The child primary site will include all of its clients. The central site will include all of the child primary objects + all of its own objects (clients)

No the Central Site has no site boundaries set

the B01 has a site boundary of companyname.com
B02 is set up for non domain computers and is set to network discovery and ip range site boundary

is there a best practice to setting site boundaries so that the collections are syncronized or is it something that I should not even worry about?

If you dont want the central site to have clients then dont worry about it, since it is setup without boundaries, then I would imagine the Site Maint Tasks are not setup to clean out old data, or it is not setup as aggressive as the child primary site thus more info in the Central DB.

Well I have verified that all of the maintenance tasks are the same and then I verified that all collections are being created at the central site only. I realized that if I create a collection brand new query against the database that when I look at the count at the Central Site level and then at the Primary site level I get different figures which is wierd because it should show the exact same info at both locations right? the query I configured is one that pertains directly to the primary site b01 location.
