this error is caused by incorrect name resolution or a fault on your lan/wan.

Try following technical bulletin 299 on the legato web site to check your configuration for name resolution.

Client unable to do a reverse lookup on the networker server. Quick ugly fix add to client hosts file the networker server

OK. It looks like it's a reverse DNS problem. Adding host files to the networker server did the track for now. The WAN team is looking into the problem and I will update this issue when they tell me what was done to fix it.

Thanks all

If there one or more aliases is being used for a single address in the hosts file, what should we do for the hosts file or networker configuration? is there anywhere we should pay attention.
eg.
Hosts:
168.248.33.19 ISERV ISERVSERV backupsrv
168.248.33.18 clientA
168.248.33.17 clientB

backupsrv is the real computer name for the backup server.
ISERV and ISERVSERV are the aliases
Thanks

You can try to add these two entries in
Networker client's properties --> Preferences --> Aliases

Thanks
BTW, is it case sensitive in legato configuration?
