All programs except IE, won't connect automatically.

Win XP Pro with an ADSL connection.....
Before I reinstalled XP it worked fine.
Now I have to connect manually, for all programs except IE, which conects automatically.
Any help appreciated.

You may have some sort of firewall running that is preventing other programs from accessing the internet. Check to see what firewalls are running.

I do have a firewall, but the programs do have access to the internet, they just won't connect automatically.
