Why does my rip print all cmyk separations as black?

I'm sure we'd all like to help, but this question is basically impossible to answer.

You need to give a LOT more detail.

As the postscript file is ripped, each plate is ripped as black instead of cyan, magenta, yellow and black.

Evidently, something is missing within the ps that the rip wants to see to distinguish the seps.

Any ideas about what might be missing in the postscript file for this to happen?

What other info would be helpful?

Thanks

What RIP? What PostScript level does it support? What is producing the PostScript? What platform, OS, driver, application, version, etc? How are you sending the PostScript to the RIP?

You say "each plate", is this a direct-to-plate device? What "colors" are you expecting to see on a plate? The plate itself shouldn't contain any colors, only charged regions to attact the ink and/or toner.

What troubleshooting steps have you already done that points to the PostScript as the problem?
