All my pictures are fuzzy!!

I'm using QuarkXPress 4.0 for Windows and everytime I insert a picture into my document it appears distorted and fuzzy. Any suggestions?

Quark only shows you a low res version for display.
When you make a PDF, output it etc it will show up good.
Also under you print menu make sure you have high res tiff selected

What kind of files are you importing?

If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

check the D.P.I of the image you are importing save the image as JPEG then try to import

saving as a jpeg is not a good idea, because each time you save it compresses and looses some of the data, so the image is not as good as the tiff

hi all,
the possible solution that can be :
launch QXP(don't open any document),got to edit(menu)-preferences-under applications check display-here in color TIFF's drop down menu select 8 bit then click ok.this should help
