All Handests looses connection to our MFIM 1200 ipec pabx 2

Hi All

We having a annoying issue with our pabx at present and causing havoc at all our sites.

All handsets in ourr building disconnects from our MFIM 1200 ipecs for about 5 seconds and then reboots.

We are at wits end as we have replaced our switches and our mfim unit but the problem returned after a month.

We need some guidance as to where to trouble shoot next.

Sounds if the MFIM made a restart...
Have a look in the MFIM log view and Gateway log view if there is a restart
of the MFIM.
If so update to the latest version (6.1Bf) and if the problem remain ask your
reseller/distributor to open a ticket at ELG (add the MFIM log view to the ticket!)
If there is a MFIM log view the problem is normally fixed really fast.
 
Thanks all for the great help. A upgrade to the latest version resolved the issue.

Now we experiencing issues with the PRi card disconnecting every day at least twice. I then need to hard reseat it reboot and reconnect.

Any ideas?
 
Hi

When you upgraded the software you were just upgrading the system itself. Check the software level on the PRIM and any other modules and upgrade them too.

Hi All

Latest development on my side.

We have stabilsed the system with updating the MFIM1200 card to the latest software version as well as all other cards such VOIM cards and PRI Cards.


We have since then added a third party Call Center Application to the pabx. This call center interfaces with the pabx via a Pri card.

Now since last week this Pri card would reboot or disconnect periodically. Could a API query cause this card to reboot?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Our VOIM cards seem to disconnect randomly as well. They both have the latest software updates installed.
