Windows 2000 Professional system.
Client has multiple printers installed. Can change the desired printer in the Printer controls windows but all documents in multiple applications still print to only 1 network printer.
Have deleted ALL printers and reinstalled the printer the client wanted to print.
All documentes are still printing to the network printer that has been deleted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks All

Type NET USE at the command line of the client.
You may find a persistant mapping exists to lpt1.
Delete it.

Try these ^^^ Up there. Good Suggestions.

Another suggestion to try - Remove all printer mappings from the registry.
1. HKey_Current_User\Printers\Connections\ - delete all Printer keys here.
2. HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Devices - Remove appropriate values here
3. HKey_Local_MAchine\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\LANMan Print Services\Servers\<ServerName>\Printers - Remove all printer keys (sub <Servername> for all appropriate Print servers)

The keys & values should be named the same as the printers.

Good Luck

Cheers,
Sam
