I must have an old version of Flash because the following directions don't work on my system:

1. Feature * * XXXXXX
2. Password: XXXXXX
3. Terminals & Sets
4. Select NEXT to SERVICES, show, RINGING SERVICES, show RINGING GROUP, show. Enter 001 for the Ringing Group. Press SHOW. At the SHOW SET prompt select SCAN. Extension 221 is, by default, assigned to every ringing group. UNASSIGN it. Then press FIND. At the SHOW SET prompt enter the first station port of the voicemail. Do not assign any other ports, just the first port. This can be found by entering FEATURE 985 which displays the first voicemail port.

5. .........and so on.
After step 2, I don't get "Terminals & Sets" I get A. Configuation, B. General admin, C. Set copy, D. Maintenance. I also don't see "RINGING SERVICES or RINGING GROUP"

My system was working until we recently had a power surge which disabled the "night" button on our receptionists phone. We had it programmed to send all calls to AA when she pushes the Night button. I programmed the night button to work but when pushed it directs call to extension 221 instead of AA. Our receptionist/operator is ext232.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When I checked the version is has 30MVJ24 DR5

Your system is 8X24 with DR5 software.

You have old software therefore its shows A. Configuation, B. General admin, C. Set copy, D. Maintenance
Look for "Service Modes" then go in there to see what you expect.

You will then need to remove 221 and add the DN of Voice Mail (do Feature 985 to see it)

Thank you for your fast reply.

When I do F985 it gives me 282. Our operator/reception desk is ext 232.
I went into Service Modes and the control set for each line is 232 and Night-Extra dial is set at 282.
It still rings at 221 when night button is pushed. If I dial 282 from another phone it asks for a password, is this normal? I don't know that password. Where do I go to change 221 to AA(282)?

Thanks again for your help.

Reception by default is always the lowest DN on the system so this is why you will need to delete 221 everywhere....even Intercom 0 points to 221.

Anyway go into these and add/delete DN's as necessary.
Service Modes
Normal Mode = 232 (recptn)
Night Mode = 282 (vmail)

Also go into each line in KSU programming and make the Prime line - none

I am working with Peachew on this problem.

SP:30MVJ24 DR5. System lost programming.

Service Modes: Control Sets: set to Ext 232 for all lines (reception).
Name1:NIGHT: Set to Manual, Trunk Ans-YES, ExtraDial:282 (VMpilot #) Line:001 No ringing sets.
Do not understand why the AA is not picking up.

Prime set is set to none for all lines.

Please help if you can!

Well since you started a new thread I gather this one is dead....why 2 threads on same topic?

Once is ALWAYS enough, we dont want to have to bounce back and forth.

Glad you sorted it out, have a good one also.
