24xx series phones retain call logs. When browsing the incoming call log simply pressing the button next to the number and then Call from the options, the phone will dial that number.

However, the log only consists of the incoming ANI which does not include the leading 9 to dial out so simply pressing the button does not work.

Can the system be setup insert the 9 so this feature can be utilized.

I use a 2420. I manually dial '9,1' then hit the call button. With IP phones you can modify the TFTP file to insert the digits.

Thank you Kevin, however I am aware of that. I am wondering if Avaya has come up with a firmware update or something to fix the problem..

You can insert leading number (in your case 9) on incoming trunk for incoming calling number.

There is no work around at this point that I know of. The only option is to do what Kevin said to do.

I changed the incoming calling number for local trunk to 9 and it works! Thank you. How would or does this affect a LD trunk using DNIS identification? Can I also change my LD trunks to mirror the local or will it impact my incoming calls?

How about for an LD call where the 9 is followed by a 1?
