I am upgrading our NT server to Windows 2000 Server and want to add an alias name with a different IP address.
Can this be done without installing Advanced Server and clustering?

Yes, you can do it without Advanced Server. As long as you have DNS service running on your server, you can make that alias. The alias is made right there in the DNS manager. A+, MCP, CCNA
