I was called to repair this alarm the phone line was cutting in and out or on and off.. Notice the mouse crap in the box

It was a easy fix ! first I shot the mouse living in the equipment box or can. They plugged the hole so no more mice could get in , they where running across the circuit boards and shittin all over

We had a similar problem with a telco smart jack and our T1’s into a co-lo facility. Gecko’s were living in the telco room and wreaking havoc with their “excretions”.
Solution, kill the little snots and seal all the entrances and conduits. Never missed a beat since.

They still use 'beans?' I haven't seen those in awhile. They used to be a Telco necessity. ;)

That is one reason why NEC has a code requirement to close all unused holes in boxes and all electrical apparatus!

Makes sense to me... But unfortunately, my experiences with most alarm people has not been good in this area. They are very dumb about NEC requirements and the "code" in general!

Supervisory resistor inside the control box doesn't do much supervising.

My experience with Alarm companies is ! They should take a cabling course or something . They do crappy work
