We have a TN767E vintange 31 board in our AvayaG3si and its connected via T-1 to a Brooktrout TR1034 with 4 channels used for a inbound fax server.
Everything is working fine except when the Brooktrout TR1034 gets reinitalized or if the server the board is in gets rebooted. When this happens I get a busy signal and I get 1025 alarm on our TN767E board and I have to busyout the board and release it to get it back up.
My question is... is there a way to prevent me from having to reset it everytime this happens? I can provide any additional configuration if needed.
I called Avaya about this and they were basicly no help. :(

Thanks

I had the same problem with some NMS cards, connected line side to an autodialer system. When the dialer system was rebooted, you had to reset some of the T-1 boards. I had a variety of TN767C ,D and E's and TN464F, GP, HP's. I know that this is not helpful, but I did want to let you know that you were not alone. There is some signaling or something that is being sent from the board, to the PBX, which causes the DS-1 board to go into fits. I had over 20 DS-1's connected to one system and it only happened to cause about 3 to 5 boards to into alarm. I reset the boards and everything went back to work. If you happen to find the problem, I would be interested in knowing what solved it.

So your basicly saying its been happening at random on your boards. I do have some other TN767 boards maybe I will try them and see what happens. Thanks gblucas...

I replaced the TN767 with a TN722 and the problem stopped. THey can bounce the server and reinitialize the board and the TN722 says up. My problem is solved for now but it doesn't explain how to prevent this. I wonder if its a setting some were.
