We had job at my company for around 80 users who are programmed to take ACD calls to change their Tally mode buttons to Work mode buttons. We couldn't re-program AKYD if any of them left their Headset buttons turned on, etc.
Does anyone know if the MAT system is capable of remotely turning off any buttons a user might have on so that AKYD could have been re-programmed without us having to go to each station and manually turning their buttons off? Deleting AKYD and then trying to reprogram it didn't work, because the extension would come back up as "Line Busy" in AKYD if the headset button wasn't turned off first. Thanks much...

Could always try unjacking the card and making changes, then reseat card.

Best done after hours though.

It's been ages since I've done this but if memory serves....

You should be able to make the changes but when you try to write the change it returns the phrase line busy. Thing is if you then exit akyd and come back in again the key data is what you just set but the phone is still working on the old data. I think you can then at a later time do a sinz and all the changes take effect.

Note do a back up before you try this!

yeah, you're right...I've noticed that it does that too, but just hadn't tested afterwards. thx man...

ACD phones appear busy at all times to the system and if a phone is busy you cannot update the key data, either unplug the phones or circuit card and write the data.
On a side note SINZ is command that should be used only when necessary, take the time and do it right.
