Hi Everyone:
Thank you for the valuable info so far. Can anyone tell me how to open an aixterm window and then after it opens run a command in the newly opened window.
For instance I want to run a script that will start more than one device at a time on a SCSI chain and for information purposes have each device running in a separate aixterm so that I can get feedback on what the device is doing. Also, I need to know how to start all devices on a SCSI chain at the same time.

To run a command or script in the aixterm window start the aixterm using the -e parameter which specifies the command to be run in the window. Note the window will close when the command finishes.

e.g.

aixterm -e yourscript.sh

Hope this is of use.
