I have been asked to mirror the root disk on one of our servers, i believe the syntax i need to use is as follows:-

extendvg rootvg hdisk1

Is this all i need to do?

Once this mirror has taken place is there any particular command i need to run to make it boot off that disk in case of a crash?

I believe i need to do the following once the mirror process has finished:-

syncvg -v rootvg

bosboot -a

bootlist -m normal hdisk0 hdisk1

Is this correct?

1. extendvg rootvg hdisk1
2. mirrorvg rootvg
3. bootlist -m normal cd0 hdisk0 hdisk1
4. bosboot -ad hdisk0
5. bosboot -ad hdisk1

A reboot is necessary too (well technically speaking the mirroring will take place as soon as the mirrorvg, the reboot is necessary to take in account the desactivation of the quorum checking, therefore you need to schedule a reboot).
