AIX file version

How to automaticly keep the file history (old versions) when it's updated.

Tektips,

When you the update the relevant fileset : select:

save replaced files = yes
commit software updates = no

This will retain the previous version and APPLY the update. After this point if you have problems you can backout the applied fileset, or COMMIT it to remove the saved previous version.

The file I meant is general, not only fileset. For example, an application file or /etc/hosts.
